Hefei Luogang Airport (in simplified Chinese 合肥骆岗机场) has a flight zone grade of 4D. It is the main international airport in Anhui Province, located in Hefei Baohe District Luogang Zhen. The IATA code of Hefei Luogang Airport is HFE, while the ICAO code of the Airport is ZSOF.

Hefei Luogang Airport is located at 9.6 kilometers southeast of the main centre of Hefei City. The airport main entrance is connected with Ningbo Expressway. Airport runway of Hefei Luogang Airport has a length of 3,000 meters and it is 50 meters wide. On the other hand, the parallel slide runway had a length of 2884 meters and width of 18 meters. The terminal area of Hefei Luogang Airport was 12,000 square meters and the apron area of it was 65,000 square meters. In 2005, the Airport Passenger throughput of Hefei Luogang Airport was 1.5117 million passengers and the cargo and mail throughput amounted to 19,386.9 tons. In that year, 18,750 flights had used Hefei Luogang Airport for taking off and landing. There are more than 30 domestic routes operated by different airlines in this airport.

In November 1977, the completion of the construction of Hefei Luogang airport marked the start of the operation of it. In April 29, 1986, domestic air passenger transport-7 got its first flight after a ceremony held in this airport. Therefore, at that time, this airport was quite famous and important to Anhui Province.

In 1996, the management authority of this airport decided to expand the airport according to the grade 4D airport standard so that the designated throughput of the airport would be able to increase to 1.5 million passengers.

In 2005, the airport runway has been modified with concrete cover design stamped with the thickness of 15 cm. Since then, the airport became more and more advanced and attracts more airlines to locate their destination here. Of course, the quality of service of this airport is not top of the world, but it is quite nice in Anhui Province so it stands out from other Anhui airports.
